These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of services provided by The StoryBank, operated by Amy Elizabeth Ltd.
By purchasing, booking or engaging The StoryBank to provide services, you agree to these Terms.

The StoryBank provides professional and educational services including, but not limited to:
Services may be delivered online, in person or through digital platforms depending on the specific offering.
The scope, format, duration and price of services will be agreed through the relevant proposal, written agreement, booking information or confirmation.
Where specific terms agreed for a particular service differ from these general Terms and Conditions, the specific terms agreed for that service will take precedence.
Payment terms will be outlined at the point of purchase or within a written proposal, agreement or booking information.
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

All prices are stated in GBP unless otherwise specified and may be subject to VAT where applicable.
Children's programmes
Children's workshops, clubs and programmes may be commissioned and paid for by a school or other organisation, or booked directly by a parent or carer.
Where a parent or carer books directly with The StoryBank, they are responsible for providing accurate information reasonably required to administer the booking and support their child's safe participation.
Coaching sessions and consultations
Unless different terms have been agreed:
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales.
Workshops, training and organisational bookings
Cancellation and rescheduling terms for commissioned workshops, training or other organisational services may be set out in the relevant proposal or agreement.
Children's clubs and programmes
Cancellation, refund and missed-session arrangements for children's clubs or programmes will be stated at the point of booking.
A refund will not normally be provided for an individual session missed by a participant where the programme itself continues as planned.
Where The StoryBank has to cancel a session, we will where reasonably possible offer a replacement session, reschedule the service or provide an appropriate refund or credit.
The StoryBank may reschedule or cancel services where necessary because of illness, unforeseen circumstances or events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights a consumer may have.
Clients and participants are expected to:
Where a client organisation remains responsible for participant supervision under the agreed delivery arrangements, it must ensure appropriate supervision is provided.
The StoryBank provides professional guidance, education and expertise but does not guarantee any particular personal, professional, educational or commercial outcome.
Some StoryBank services are specifically designed for children and young people, including school workshops, after-school clubs and educational programmes.
These activities may operate under different arrangements depending on the school, organisation or programme.
The StoryBank may:
Responsibility for supervision, attendance, collection, emergency procedures and safeguarding arrangements will be agreed as appropriate with the commissioning school or organisation.
Where parents or carers book directly with The StoryBank, relevant arrangements will be communicated as part of the programme information.
The StoryBank maintains a separate Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy governing its work with children and young people.
The current lead practitioner holds an Enhanced DBS certificate including a Children's Barred List check.
Where The StoryBank engages other practitioners to work with children in future, appropriate safeguarding and safer-recruitment arrangements will be put in place before they begin delivery.
Attendance and collection
Where The StoryBank has responsibility for children during a club or programme, parents/carers and/or the host organisation must provide accurate information concerning attendance, collection and any authorised collection arrangements where required.
A child will not knowingly be released to an unauthorised person.
Arrangements for children who are permitted to leave independently must be agreed in advance through the appropriate parent/carer or school process.
Parents/carers are expected to collect children promptly at the agreed finishing time where collection is required.
The StoryBank is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people participating in its activities.
When delivering within a school or educational setting, The StoryBank will work in accordance with the safeguarding arrangements agreed with that setting and will report safeguarding concerns through the appropriate safeguarding route.
Where The StoryBank has direct safeguarding responsibility, concerns will be handled in accordance with The StoryBank's Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy.
Information may be shared with a school, safeguarding authority, children's social care, police or another appropriate body where necessary to protect a child.
Safeguarding responsibilities take precedence over confidentiality where information needs to be shared to protect a child from harm.
Storytelling and reflective exercises may invite participants to explore personal experiences, perspectives, memories or ideas.
Participation in personal storytelling exercises is voluntary. Participants should share only what they feel comfortable and consider appropriate for the setting.
The StoryBank aims to create a respectful and supportive environment for learning, creative development and discussion.
StoryBank coaching, storytelling, communication and educational services are not therapy, counselling or mental-health treatment.
Adult participants remain responsible for their own wellbeing and may choose not to participate in an exercise that feels inappropriate or uncomfortable.
Where a child appears distressed or raises a concern that may relate to their safety or welfare, The StoryBank will respond in accordance with its safeguarding responsibilities.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all StoryBank frameworks, methodologies, exercises, prompts, teaching resources, course content, templates and training materials remain the intellectual property of Amy Elizabeth Ltd.
This includes materials used during:
StoryBank materials are provided for the client's or participant's personal use or, where agreed, internal organisational use.
They may not be reproduced, published, distributed, taught, sold, licensed, adapted for commercial use or used to deliver competing training or services without prior written permission from Amy Elizabeth Ltd.
Participants and clients retain ownership of their original speeches, stories, presentations and other creative work developed during StoryBank services.
This remains the case where The StoryBank has contributed coaching, feedback, suggestions, structure or editorial input as part of the service.
For example, where The StoryBank works collaboratively with a participant to develop or strengthen their speech, the resulting speech will be treated as the participant's work.
This does not transfer ownership of any StoryBank framework, methodology, exercise, prompt, template, teaching material or other proprietary content used in the process.
Bespoke writing and commissioned work
Where The StoryBank is specifically commissioned to write or create original material for a client — rather than coaching or editing material created by the client — ownership and usage rights may be agreed separately in the relevant proposal or agreement.
Unless otherwise agreed, The StoryBank retains ownership of its underlying methods, frameworks and reusable intellectual property regardless of the ownership of the finished client work.
Children's creative work
Children and young people retain ownership of the original speeches, stories and other creative work they create or collaboratively develop during StoryBank activities.
The StoryBank will not publicly publish or use identifiable children's creative work for promotional or commercial purposes without appropriate permission.
Genuinely anonymised examples or extracts may be used for teaching or educational purposes where the child cannot reasonably be identified.
Clients and participants may not record, reproduce or distribute StoryBank workshops, training or coaching sessions without prior agreement.
Where recording is permitted, the agreed recording may be licensed for the client's personal or internal organisational use and may not be sold, published externally or used to deliver training without written permission from Amy Elizabeth Ltd.
All StoryBank intellectual property contained within recorded sessions remains the property of Amy Elizabeth Ltd.
Where The StoryBank takes photographs or video of participants, this will be handled in accordance with The StoryBank's Privacy Policy and, where children or young people are involved, the relevant photography and permission arrangements.
The StoryBank and its clients agree to treat confidential information shared during coaching, workshops, consultancy and other engagements with appropriate care and discretion.
Personal stories or experiences shared during StoryBank services will be treated confidentially except where:
Participants in group programmes should respect the privacy of other participants and should not share another person's personal story or confidential information outside the session without their permission.
The StoryBank cannot guarantee that another participant in a group setting will comply with this obligation, but may take appropriate action where a participant breaches expected standards of behaviour.
Clients may be invited to provide testimonials about their experience.
Identifiable testimonials, stories, case studies or creative work will only be published by The StoryBank with appropriate permission.
Where children or young people are involved, additional care will be taken and appropriate parent/carer and/or organisational permission arrangements will apply.
The StoryBank may use genuinely anonymised insights or examples from its work for educational or teaching purposes where individuals and organisations cannot reasonably be identified.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with The StoryBank's Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected.
This includes information relating to adult clients, organisations, parents/carers, children and young people participating in StoryBank services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amy Elizabeth Ltd will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of services provided by The StoryBank.
Storytelling, coaching, communication, narrative and training services are intended for educational, creative and professional-development purposes and should not be interpreted as legal, financial, medical or psychological advice.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Nothing in these Terms affects a consumer's statutory rights.
The StoryBank will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform services where this results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include illness, technical failure, travel disruption, severe weather, closure of a host venue or other events outside our reasonable control.
Where reasonably possible, affected services will be rescheduled or an appropriate alternative arrangement offered.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any rights a consumer may have under applicable law.
The StoryBank may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The most recent version will be available on our website with the updated effective date.
Changes will not retrospectively alter specific contractual terms already agreed with a client unless agreed or otherwise permitted by law.
