1. ABOUT US

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of services provided by The StoryBank, operated by Amy Elizabeth Ltd.

By purchasing or engaging with any services offered by The StoryBank, you agree to these Terms.

2. SERVICES

The StoryBank provides professional services including but not limited to:

• leadership and storytelling coaching
• keynote speech writing and narrative development
• workshops and training sessions
• courses and programmes
• digital resources and materials
• educational workshops in schools or youth settings

Services may be delivered online, in person, or through digital platforms depending on the specific offering.

Full details of the scope of work will be agreed in advance through proposals, written agreements, or booking confirmations.

3. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT

Payment terms will be outlined at the point of purchase or within a written proposal or agreement.

Payments may be processed through third party payment providers such as Stripe.

Unless otherwise agreed:

• payment is required before services begin
• invoices must be paid within the stated payment terms
• access to services may be suspended if payment is not received

All prices are listed in GBP unless otherwise stated and may be subject to VAT where applicable.

4. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

For coaching sessions or consultations:

• sessions may be rescheduled with at least two working days’ notice
• sessions cancelled with less than two working days’ notice may be forfeited
• missed sessions or late cancellations will be counted as completed sessions within the programme

Working days are defined as Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales.

For workshops or training bookings:

• cancellation terms will be outlined in the specific proposal or agreement

Where a programme or course is purchased, refunds are not normally available once access has been granted unless otherwise stated.

The StoryBank reserves the right to reschedule services if necessary due to illness, unforeseen circumstances, or events outside reasonable control.

5. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Clients agree to:

• provide accurate information when booking services
• participate responsibly and respectfully in sessions, workshops, or community discussions
• ensure appropriate supervision where services are delivered to groups or teams
• take responsibility for their own decisions, actions, and outcomes resulting from coaching or advice

The StoryBank provides professional guidance and expertise but does not guarantee specific results.

6. SAFEGUARDING AND WORK WITH MINORS

Some StoryBank services may be delivered to groups that include participants under the age of 18, such as school workshops, youth programmes, or educational speaking engagements.

Where services are delivered to minors:

• workshops are delivered at the invitation of, and under the supervision of, the hosting organisation (such as a school or educational provider)
• the hosting organisation remains responsible for safeguarding procedures, supervision, and parental permissions where required
• The StoryBank does not collect personal data directly from minors except where necessary to deliver a workshop activity and where appropriate consent has been obtained by the hosting organisation

Any photography, recordings, testimonials, or written material involving minors will only be used with appropriate consent from the school or parent or guardian where required.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, frameworks, materials, methodologies, exercises, written resources, and training materials provided by The StoryBank remain the intellectual property of Amy Elizabeth Ltd unless otherwise agreed in writing.

This includes but is not limited to:

• storytelling frameworks
• teaching materials
• workshop content
• exercises and tools
• written materials and resources
• course materials and digital downloads

These materials are provided for personal or internal organisational use only.

They may not be reproduced, distributed, published, taught, or used commercially without prior written permission.

The structure, concepts, and methodologies used within StoryBank workshops, coaching sessions, and materials are proprietary and may not be replicated, adapted, or taught by others without written permission from Amy Elizabeth Ltd.

8. RECORDING AND USE OF SESSIONS

Workshops, training sessions, or coaching sessions delivered by The StoryBank may not be recorded, reproduced, or distributed without prior agreement.

Where recordings are permitted, they are licensed for internal use by the client organisation only and may not be shared externally, sold, or used to deliver training without written permission from Amy Elizabeth Ltd.

All intellectual property contained within recorded sessions remains the property of Amy Elizabeth Ltd.

9. CONFIDENTIALITY

Both The StoryBank and its clients agree to treat confidential information shared during coaching sessions, workshops, or consulting engagements with respect and discretion.

Personal stories or experiences shared during sessions will be treated confidentially unless disclosure is required by law or where there is a risk of harm.

10. PARTICIPANT WELLBEING

Storytelling and reflective exercises used in coaching, workshops, or training may invite participants to explore personal experiences, perspectives, or memories.

Participation in such exercises is always voluntary. Participants are encouraged to share only what feels comfortable and appropriate for the setting.

The StoryBank aims to create a respectful and supportive environment for learning and discussion. However, these services are designed for professional development and education and are not a substitute for therapy, counselling, or mental health treatment.

Participants remain responsible for their own wellbeing and may choose not to take part in any activity that feels uncomfortable.

11. TESTIMONIALS AND CASE STUDIES

Clients may be invited to provide testimonials about their experience.

Any testimonials published by The StoryBank will only be used with the permission of the individual or organisation concerned.

Identifiable client stories or case studies will only be shared publicly with explicit consent.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amy Elizabeth Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of services provided by The StoryBank.

Coaching, storytelling advice, and training services are intended for professional development purposes and should not be interpreted as legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

13. FORCE MAJEURE

The StoryBank shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform services where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond reasonable control.

This may include but is not limited to illness, technical failures, travel disruption, natural events, or other force majeure situations.

Where possible, services will be rescheduled.

14. DATA PROTECTION

Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

The StoryBank may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The most recent version will always be available on the website with the updated effective date.
